About Us

We are Calgary's premier piercing studio. All of our jewelry is hand-made in-shop. This way we can guarantee that all our jewelry is made of the highest quality implant-grade metals.

As a wholesale jewelry manufacturer, we're also able to offer a much wider range of jewelry styles. If there's something you'd like and we don't have in-store, just ask, we're happy to do custom orders, and for no extra cost.

All piercings at Tribal Expression are done by Keith Kennedy and Lindsay Martland. Keith has been professionally trained in San Francisco in piercing and sterilization techniques. Keith has 15 years of experience, piercing in Calgary. He has been widely regarded as a professional in advanced piercings such as surface piercings, multiple piercings with one piece of jewelry, and genital piercings. Lindsay has been at Tribal for over two years and has completed her apprenticeship under Keith Kennedy. Also from Calgary, she holds a Bachelor of Arts degree (Archaeology) from U. of C. and has done training at S.A.I.T. in Sterilization, Infection Control and Blood-Borne Pathogens. Every piercing is done using a brand new single-use disposable needle for all piercings. All needles are disposed of properly after the piercing and will never be re-used.

At Tribal Expression we use the Statim 5000 and Statim 2000 autoclaves, some of the best and fastest autoclave systems in the world. With these devices we guarantee that the tools and jewelry for each individual piercing will be sterilized immediately before use.

Each of our piercing rooms are equipped with a germicidal UV cabinet, to keep any previously sterile goods from being contaminated in storage. Our piercing rooms are designed with sterilization measures in mind. Some dentist's or doctor's offices would be hard pressed to meet the standards we are trying to set for the piercing industry.
