High-Nostril Piercing

High nostrils have made a huge impact in the piercing world in the past few years and have become incredibly popular. With the endless jewelry options available in the industry now, these piercings can make quite a statement!

Threadless flatback labret studs are the ideal piece for this procedure to allow for the easiest insertion; this also allows the beads to be changed with minimal issues. But be prepared for a longer swelling and healing time; multiple downsizes with these are usually necessary as well.

High nostrils can pose problems for clients who wear glasses or masks regularly so please keep this in mind if these are piercings you are considering for yourself.

The hardest part of performing matching piercings is actually matching them as no client has a perfectly symmetrical nose so, that being said, the marking for these piercings will always be the longest part of this appointment.

Once the piercer and client are satisfied with the final marks, a receiving tube is inserted up the nose, this braces the tissue and catches the needle. After a couple of deep breaths with your piercer, the needle is pushed through and the jewelry will follow from the inside out. It is a fairly quick procedure but definitely will make your eyes water so our piercer will make sure you have a tissue on hand?
