From the inception of Tribal Expression, Keith Kennedy and his team knew to offer the highest level of sterilization available on the market for our services. This type of sterilization allows us to individually sterilize all of the tools, disposable needles, and jewelry for each individual procedure for each client. This greatly reduces the likelihood of cross contamination and infection.
• Many places will bulk sterilize packages with the jewelry or tools and store them.
• Most needles come from China and are labeled as pre-sterilized but may not actually be sterile or meet studio sterilization expectations.
• Individual sterilization helps manage storage issues. Stocking sterilized packages can lead to cross contamination if not stored or taken care of properly.
• Packages that do need storage are stored in UV disinfection cabinets built into the piercing rooms.
• Tribal Expression is known for impeccable record keeping.
• All of our sterilizers are spore tested by an outside lab to ensure continuity.
• All sterilization procedures are verified by a printed receipt and class 5 sterilization load integrator per cycle.
• All sterilization receipts and class 5 integrators are attached to the client’s release form and held for an allotted period of time as per Alberta Health Services requirements.

Current Mask Policy
- Everyone is Welcome :)
- Currently masks are optional with in our studio, we have masks available upon arrival or in each piercing room if you would like one.
- All Piercer’s will wear KN95 or N95 masks and wear appropriate P.P.E during procedures (personal protective, equipment) like safety glasses / glasses, and other equipment when the situation warrants it.
