About Keith
Keith Kennedy is the Owner and Operator of Tribal Expression. He has over 30 years of piercing experience. He regularly attends courses and workshops all over the world to stay on top of the most innovative techniques and processes. In addition to piercing, Keith is also an expert in scarification, branding, and suspension. Keith believes in lifelong learning and has more than 15 official credentials in his field. He also enjoys giving back to the community by partaking in various charities as well as offering a program removing gang and hate tattoo removals at no cost.
It is vital to Tribal’s Owner to ensure the safety and well-being of all the shop’s clients. Keith ensures that the shop is furnished with the most cutting-edge sterilization tools, and he has put a strict protocol in place for all treatments.
Over the years, Keith has become a trusted source of information for the media, appearing regularly with more than 15 different sources. Some local outlets include; The Calgary Herald, CTV, and Global. He has also provided his professional perspectives and knowledge to a vast audience on CBC, The Discovery Channel, and The Rutherford Show.
Keith participated in creating Federal Health Guidelines for professional piercers with Health Canada and regularly collaborates with Alberta Health Services regarding matters of piercing, branding, scarification, and education.
Keith was born and raised in Calgary, where he still resides with his wife, two daughters, and two sons. Keith is an Aquarius that enjoys hiking and spending time with his family.

Eddie is our lead piercer!
Eddie’s passion for body modification started many years ago when he was a client of Tribal Expression.
With his interest in extreme body modification and hours and hours spent in the studio with the piercing staff, Eddie was offered an entry-level position making jewelry.
After making jewelry for some time, a piercing apprentice spot opened up, he applied and got the opportunity to learn Eddie now is our newest Lead Piercer.
After years of dedication and hard work through that apprenticeship and he earned the title of Lead Piercer. Eddie is always learning new piercings and techniques to add to the list of services he currently offers so keep an eye on our social media for updates! Eddie’s current passion and focus is on custom industrial and ear projects!
He has strong attention to detail and a desire to further educate himself and his clients. Because of this, we feel that he will be a permanent fixture in the body piercing and body modification industry.

Daniele is a seasoned professional body piercer who has been in the industry since the mid-2000s , she started her professional career in Saskatoon. Daniele has exceptional customer service and bedside manners that she gets many compliments on throughout her workday. She has honed her skills in creating curated ear projects and working with white gold. In her leisure time, she enjoys the company of her two adorable dogs and indulges in her guilty pleasures of watching movies and reality TV. Daniele’s love for mid-century pieces reflects in her hobby of thrifting during her free time. Maintaining a sober lifestyle remains an essential and non-negotiable aspect of her life.

Iliana started off at Tribal taking photographs and working with our social media team. Being around the piercers and taking the content of them performing piercings made her realize that piercing was her calling!
She took a break to attend the Medical Device Reprocessing Technician course through SAIT and is now a certified MDRT.
When Iliana came back to Tribal she became our sterile tech in the bio-room to help the piercers with their tools and individual sterilization process. She is now following her dreams to become a piercer and is currently apprenticing as a junior piercer under Keith.
In Iliana’s spare time she can be found at home cuddling her hedgehog, Amethyst or looking up fun facts about frogs!

Sergii
Sergii , our newest team member ,launched his piercing carrier in Ukraine in 2016, focusing primarily on earlobe piercing for children. Over time , his interest and dedication to the craft deepened , motivating him to broaden his skills and pursue advanced training. Today, he is a skilled professional body piercer, continuously honing his knowledge trough a commitment to ongoing education.
Sergii is a multilingual professional, who provides his service in three languages, homely Ukrainian, English and Russian. Wheather you are more comfortable communicating in one of those languages or simply appreciate convenience of having options , Sergii is equipped to provide top-notch service in a language of your choice .
When not piercing Sergii enjoys spending quality time with his family.

She started out as Front End Counter Staff with the hopes of becoming junior piercer and starting her piercing journey. She quickly got promoted to her dream role here at Tribal as a Piercing
Apprentice.
Leona enjoys assisting clients to curate their piercing goals and she is excited to work directly with clients piercing them in the future! In her free time, she enjoys horror movies, coffee and music.

They wanted to get into the body modification industry because she saw and experienced how open and accepting the industry is first hand and she wanted to be a part of that experience for others.
Alanta loves the family feel of working at Tribal and her composed, easy going energy is contagious with our staff and clients! Alanta also loves the opportunity to connect with a lot of really cool and unique people on the daily. They are eager to expand their knowledge and continue to grow and learn everything this industry has to offer.
During Alanta’s free time she likes to play rugby, work out, read, draw and paint, watch crime documentaries and take long naps with their dog, Frankie.

Meet Erika, one of our exceptional Jewelry Stylists and Sterile Technicians who is also our newest Apprentice at the studio. Erika has a strong passion for the body modification industry, which has significantly contributed to her personal growth. She is particularly drawn to the heavy body modification community, where she enjoys experimenting with large gauge piercings and creating unique pieces of jewelry to complement her clients’ aesthetic. Her love for all things yellow gold is evident, especially when paired with citrine and peridot stones. Erika is a graduate of the Gemological Institute of America’s Applied Jewelry Professional program. In her free time, she enjoys indulging in her art, playing her favorite video games, and snuggling up with her beloved cat.

No, just kidding.
That’s why I prefer Jemma with J as jam, not Gemma with G as in gem, even though that would make more sense. But enough of that. I am from Russia. I was trained in a secret camp in Siberia to be a perfect spy for the KGB.
Now you know that and our organization will come for you.
My favourite colour is green, I go bananas for bananas and I can solder everything to anything, I am a passionate solderer, not a soldier, and again even though that would make more sense (see above).
I was working undercover as a jeweller in a gold chains production in Moscow.
Now I am a goldsmith, making tiny gold body jewelry, not for children under 3 years, cause they are deadly lethal. Wear your gold shinies with caution, care and love, cause you don’t want to upset Russian goldsmith. *Vicious laugh

She jumped at the chance. Mischa runs on coffee, fluffy cats, spooky stuff, absurdist surrealist art, and shiny things.

Dillian started as a jeweller working for tribal expression back in 2012,. his passion for this art grew leading to him graduating with honours from Georgian College in Ontario for Silver-smithing and Gold-smithing.In 2021, Dillian moved back to Calgary, working again with Tribal Expression to put his skills and crafting experience back to work.
When Dillian isn’t immersed in his favourite jewelry skills like wax/stone carving, lapidary, casting, and CAD rendering. You’ll find him with his other hobbies like Magic the Gathering, Dungeons & Dragons, cooking, sewing and gaming.
