Hood Piercing

An HCH is another variation of the hood piercing; although not as common as the VCH. The jewelry passes horizontally through the hood tissue and sits just above the clit, rather than vertically through and directly on top of the clit.

For an HCH to be a viable piercing for a client, the hood needs to be ample enough that the piercing will only pass only through that tissue. The clit should not be pierced during this procedure. A consultation with your piercer will determine whether or not you are an ideal candidate.

Typically, a client will choose an HCH to enhance sexual pleasure. A captive bead ring is often used for this piercing; ideal placement should result in the bead pushing against the woman’s clit. For clients interested in just enjoying how this piercing looks, a curved barbell can also be worn.
Considering how thin the hood tissue actually is, it is no surprise that this piercing is fairly easy to receive. Most women comment that they expected much worse.

Marking of this area can take a little longer as the tissue tends to move very freely. Your piercer will go through the procedure with you step by step ensuring that you stay comfortable the entire time.

Once the area has been cleaned and marked, the tissue is lightly clamped. From there, the piercer will ask you to start taking some deep breaths. This piercing can result in the client’s legs “jumping” together. Rather than using the traditional “line up poke”, which can be startling, the piercer, needle in hand, will go ahead and just perform the piercing on one of your exhales.

Due to how vascular this area of the body is, it is common for this, and most genital piercings, to bleed. Coming to your appointment with a pad is recommended. On the other hand, the ample blood flow to the area also assists in this piercing healing fairly quickly and requires simple aftercare. We pride ourselves in our advanced transparent sterilization techniques and aseptic piercing procedures.

Here at Tribal Expression, we implement the highest possible sterilization standards in Canada, the same standards you would see at a plastic surgeon’s office. We feel this is only right as any invasive procedure can be life-threatening if proper sterilization protocols are not met.

Please keep in mind: With covid-19, you will be require to wear a mask.

We ask that friends and family wait at a nearby coffee shop or in their car during the procedure. Please eat a light snack 30 minutes before your appointment.
